UK visa salary thresholds we check
These are the exact figures JobWizard AI tests every job against. This page is generated directly from the values our matching engine uses, so what you read here is what the product actually enforces.
Most new applications from 22 July 2025. You must be paid the higher of this and the going rate for your SOC code.
Applies alongside the annual threshold for most graduate-level roles.
Eligible health and care roles that are not paid on a national pay scale. Superseded the previous £29,000 figure.
NHS Agenda for Change and other national pay scale roles. This is the current rule, not a transitional one.
Workers already on the route before 4 April 2024 who are extending or switching.
Raised from RQF 3 on 22 July 2025. Sub-degree roles qualify only via continuing employment or the Temporary Shortage List.
Raised from B1 on 8 January 2026 for new applicants.
What we do not check
We check the general threshold that applies to a role. We do not check the occupation-specific going rate for its SOC code, because that varies by occupation and is set by the Home Office. You must be paid the higher of the two. A job can clear the general threshold and still fall short of its going rate, so always confirm the SOC code and going rate with the employer before applying.
